In a recent commentary for Nature Medicine (Feb. 2024) , the Georgetown University biologist Colin Carlson used a decades-old formula to calculate that warming had already killed four million people globally since 2000 just from malnutrition, floods, diarrhea, malaria and cardiovascular disease.” The World Health Organization expects the globe will see about 250,000 deaths annually as a result of climate change by 2030, which they say is a conservative estimate. (Calculated this is about 1,500,000 human beings. (WHO, April, 2024) And, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reported that 2023 was the warmest year on record for the Earth. Call it Like it is – American Brainwashing
A Unique Modern Phenomenon – American Brainwashing Let’s Call it What it is! The Trump-Russia connection is a terrifying reality. The shadow cast by Putin over the landscape of American democracy and American lives, and his influence and CONTROL over Trump grows larger and darker by the moment. The book called From Democracy to Democrazy reveals, in detail, Putin’s carefully hidden plan to the American public. – the facts, the evidence, and the proof. The Mueller Report failed to fully inform the American public about the Russian invasion and Trump’s relationship to Russia. I believe this was due to Barr’s […]
The Israel-Hamas War and Putin’s Role
The Israel – Hamas War I often receive political messages from others, and this morning I found a “peace plan” for the Israel-Hamas war written by Jeffrey Sachs. His plan – as usual – is excellent. He wrote: “In all the years of Hamas rule in Gaza after 2007, Hamas has never captured Israel territory, much less remotely threatened Israel’s existence or survival. Simply, it couldn’t do so even if it wanted. Hamas has around 30,000 fighters, compared with more than 600,000 active and reserve personnel in the IDF. Hamas lacks an air force, armored unit, a military-industrial base, and […]
The Future of the United States
The Future of the United States A message to Elizabeth Graham from Heather Cox Richardson begins by saying: “On a clear, cold morning of December 1890, on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, three U.S. soldiers tried to wrench a valuable Winchester away from a young Lakota man.” In the end, these soldiers massacred the men, women, and children of the Lakota’s that day. What a heart-wrenching tale, but with an incredible ending of “One of the curses of history is that we cannot go back and change the course leading to disasters, no matter how much we might […]
Trump Should Never Have Been The US President
Russian Interference in Our Elections and Our Polls “Russian attempts to interfere in the election were first disclosed publicly by members of the United States Congress in September 2016, confirmed by US intelligence agencies in October 2016, and further detailed by the Director of National Intelligence office in January 2017.” (https://en.wikipedia.org/Russian_interference) Then on November 7, 2022, Yevgeny Prigozhin, a close associate of Putin’s, said “Russians had interfered in the 2016 U.S. elections and would continue doing so in the future . . .” Russian hackers could be regrouping ahead of elections, Microsoft warns. (CNN, Nov. 2023) Our democracy is at […]
TIME 100 Edition, June 2022 The Most Influential Persons of 2021-2022
The recent edition of TIME100 Magazine dated June 2, 2022, is dedicated to the most influential persons worldwide. Inside the front cover is the message from the Editor-i-Chief/CEO, Edward Felsenthal. He called this edition the “Power for Good,” where it describes the contents of this magazine. He says “When our team gets together to choose the TIME100, we have one barometer: influence. Who shaped the year? Who stood up? Who stood out? Influence, of course, may be for good or for ill – a dichotomy never more visible than in this year’s TIME100 which describes both Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr […]
Dictatorship
This blog was written in response to a reader named Julie who claimed I was crazy. Dear Julie: I am not crazy, and I am also not brainwashed like most of the Republicans in our country. Mass-mind manipulation – aka brainwashing – began in totalitarian countries less than 100 years ago. At the time, it wasn’t called “brainwashing.” In September 1950, during the first year of the Korean War, Edward Hunter, an American journalist who had worked in wartime intelligence, and post-war with the CIA, coined (or, more accurately, first popularized) the term brainwashing, and left no doubt for his readers […]
A Democracy In Trouble
The official chart of the deficit as a percentage of the GDP (gross domestic product) shows that Obama started his term after G.W. Bush at -10% but ended his term at -3%. Trump took over and the percentage dropped dramatically to -18% by the end of his term in 2020. This was the largest drop in U.S. history. In 2019, during Trump – the U.S. Government spending was up 49.1% from the previous year while income was down 13.4%. Anyone in the ENTIRE WORLD who spends about 50% more than they make are heading for bankruptcy – but then Trump […]
Response to Jeffrey Sach’s Article Called A Framework for Peace in Israel and Palestine
I have read Jeffrey Sach’s latest plea for peace which includes an excellent proposal by the UN for the requisite steps to a more lasting peace in Israel and Palestine. There is one piece of this puzzle that the UN and Jeffrey Sach have failed to recognize. Putin’s involvement with Hamas via Iran is obvious. This is a man – who Russians compare to Stalin and who wishes to rule the world and who violently hates the United States and our democracy. Hamas began this war when it benefitted Putin. Since the Israel-Hamas war began, U.S. media commentators have nearly […]
Putin’s Revenge On The US
I wrote From Democracy to Democrazy with one intent in mind – warn American voters of the Russian/Putin influence in our lives and on our democracy. I spent about 20 years living and working in Russia and Central Asia – six dictator-led countries. I became bi-cultural. As an American this was an arduous transition, but over time I learned to look-like, behave-like, and understand Russian and Russians. In the early 1990’s, The Moscow Business Survival Guide wrote: “The most fundamental concepts that have guided your judgement for a lifetime are not even known, much less understood here.” As an American, […]
